United Bank for Africa Plc., a leading pan-Africa banking group has appointed Ayo Liadi, Oliver Alawuba, Ibrahim Puri, Uche Ike and Chuks Nweke to executive management positions in the firm.
The appointments, however, are subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
In a statement made available to journalists yesterday in Lagos, the bank noted that all the appointees bring considerable experience to the Board and, as that a sign of the depth of internal talent and promotion of its own human capital, all five had been promoted from within the bank.
Congratulating the newly appointed directors, the Group chairman, Tony Elumelu, said,” These appointments will greatly assist in the plans we have to transform the UBA Group into a truly customer-led bank and the foremost financial institution in Africa.”
