Bobrisky’s fame in the Nigerian entertainment scene began on snap chat. The bleaching cream expert in an interview with Adesuwa Onyenokwe of Today’s woman magazine shared story of his beginning as a “normal” boy, as the last child of his mother. He said “When I was little, I liked wearing my mother’s wigs.” He also mentioned that his choice of style is reliant on the promotion of his bleaching cream business and not an indication of his sexual orientation as he is not gay.
Going further, the cross-dresser also stated that he is a big supporter of the Nigerian anti-gay law as he “loves the anti-gay law.”

His position with the anti-gay law upset few individuals like; Gay activist, Bisi Alimi, who went on his Instagram page to voice his disappointment on Bobrisky’s attitude to such fragile issue. In his opinion, Bobrisky has a “voice” and rather than keep quiet about a sensitive issue, he is taking stands that can jeopardize the future for people living with what he termed, “uncontrollable.” He said: “A friend brought my attention to an interview bobrisky granted Adesuwa.
In the interview, he was asked if he is gay, he said no and with no prompting said he supports the anti same sex prohibition law 2013″. He expressed his anger saying, “Dear Bobrisky, I have a message for you. I will be very happy to educate you for free on how your bigoted, hateful comments are putting LGBT people lives at risk. I will also like to let you know, how making money by making fun of what other people are dying from is no fucking joke. Yes, I will give you and your likes a crash course on decency, human dignity and respect as I can see you lack the fundamentals that makes someone a responsible human being. I will be here if you need me, have a nice day”.
Bobrisky is yet to reply to the “crash course” but we sense a feud coming up.
