Nigerian military has recorded a huge success in the ongoing war against insurgency, as its troops of 152 and 155 task force battalions of Operation Lafia Dole in joint clearance operations with Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) killed 23 Boko Haram terrorists suspects and captured three of their commanders.
In a statement issued to journalists yesterday, Army spokesman, Col Sani Kukasheka Usman said the unprecedented clearance operation swept through over 10 Boko Haram hideouts along the border.
The statement further said that during the operation, troops cleared Nbaga, Bula, Danube, Ybiri, Greya, Suduwa villages and other adjoining settlements.
Col Usman added that the towns and settlements were occupied by suspected Boko Haram terrorists fugitives,who escaped from villages previously cleared by troops of the Nigerian Army.
“The unprecedented clearance operation swept through over 10 suspected Boko Haram terrorists hideouts along the border in which they killed 22 terrorists, arrested 3 Ameers (commanders) and rescued abducted persons”.
