A vociferous braggart who was arrested for armed robbery and cult related activities, has told detectives attached to the Lagos State Police Command, that his cult group is more powerful than its rivals including the dreaded Aiye and Eiye Fraternities.

The 23-year-old suspect, Bright Ogogo, was bold and remorseless enough to tell police operatives how deadly and feared his cult group is and stronger than other cult groups.

Ogogo who was arrested alongside his partners in crime, Sodiq Arolu, 19 and 32-year-old Akeem Isiaka, according to the police, was full of scorn for his partners who were begging the police for mercies with tears in the eyes.

The suspects were said to be on their way to Badagry, a suburb of the state, to carry out a robbery operation when policemen on stop and search duty, accosted and arrested them.

The police, after a thorough search of their bags, retrieved  two axes, two locally made pistols, three live cartridges and assorted charms.

While the others confessed they were members of the Aiye Confraternity, Ogogo who was angry at people referring to him as a member of the group, said his cult group is far superior to the Aiye group.

“I don’t belong to Aiye Confraternity! I’m only helping these members of Aiye in their operations. I belong to the Black Movement of Africa. It’s another cult group and quite deadlier than Aiye.

It was because Aiye members know the stuff Black Movement of Africa members are made off, that they invited me to join them during operations.

I joined the Black Movement of Africa in December last year and the promised to secure a job for me. The cult has members in different fields, across Nigeria.

It was basically because of that I joined them. But after becoming their member, my situation didn’t change. They didn’t get employment for me. In fact, since I joined, it has been one operation after another across the country.

I thought they would secure a job for me so that I can get back to school because I intended sponsoring myself through the National Open University of Nigeria but that dream was just a dream.”

While parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police,Fatai Owoseni, confirmed they were arrested at Oko-Afo, along Badagry Express Way, during a ‘Stop and Search’ by policemen, on July 9, 2016.
