Operatives of the Delta State Command of the Nigeria Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested four suspected ritualists within Ogwashi-Uku, Ubulu-Uku and Benin Asaba Express Way while on routine patrol.
The state commander of the agency, Mr. Frank Hannachor, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects to journalists in Asaba yesterday, gave their names as Obinna Agbo (27), Emeka Eze (34), Ebo Ahaah (25 )and Odo Ejike (27). He added that the suspects were handed over to the police at the state CID for further prosecution.
Decrying the increasing use of illicit drugs across the state and among the youths, the NDLEA commander further disclosed that the agency was determined to make the difference with a view to eradicating all forms of illicit drug users and their activities in the state.
He said: “We are determined under my command to rid-off all forms of illicit drug users in the state, the four suspected ritualists were arrested by our men on a routine patrol within Ogwashi-Uku, Ubulu-Uku, Benin-Asaba Express Way and we have handed them over to the police after we recovered illicit materials from them”.
