Do you think a father did the right thing by handing over his armed robber son to the police?
A middle-aged man in Delta State identified as Arogoy, has done the unthinkable by handing over his son, David, who has been on the wanted list of the State Police Command for armed robbery.
Arogoy decided to hand in his son at the Ekpan Police Division in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state, following his arrival late in the night with bullet wounds on his body.
The father reportedly informed the police that his son had returned home in agony in the wee hours of March 14, 2016, with bullet wounds and he had to report the case to the police for his own safety.
Arogoy also informed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in charge of the division, Chris Sorgbara, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), that his son had been in the armed robbery business for long and he did not want to be seen as aiding and abetting his child.
According to information, David and his gang members, had gone on a robbery operation at the Edo Guest House in the local government when they ran into the police and during a shootout, the gang leader identified as Oga Kenneth, was killed while he escaped with the wounds, only to be sent to the police by his father.
Do you think Mr Arogoy did the right think by handing over his own son to the police?
