Olympics Rio 2016: Shaunae Miller Wins 400m With Amazing Dive Finish


Bahamas’ Shaunae Miller dived across the finish line to snatch gold away from Allyson Felix in the women’s 400 metres at Rio 2016.

Miller flung herself to gold in 49.44 seconds, with world champion Felix pushed into silver in 49.51s. Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson won bronze in 49.85s.

Felix appeared set to land a fifth Olympic gold medal with a late attack, but she stayed upright while rival Miller collapsed across the line in a thrilling conclusion.

The American has the chance to atone in the women’s 4x400m relay later in the Games.
