To commence construction of the Ajah Reinforced Concrete Flyover, the Lagos State Government has announced the closure of Ajah roundabout in Eti-Osa local government area of the state as it will today begin restriction of Vehicular movement.
In a statement released by the Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ganiyu Johnson, and made available to Vanguard, the State Government will today begin restriction of Vehicular movement in and Around Ajah roundabout, Eti-Osa Local Government, to commence construction of the Ajah Reinforced Concrete Flyover.
It was gathered that the closure of the road at the Ajah roundabout end of the Lekki-Epe Expressroad, would elapse at the completion of the project. It will be constructed by Messrs. Hitech Construction Company Ltd.
The commissioner said that the completion of the project would alleviate the gridlocks often experienced by motorists in Ajah and its environs.
“The State Government appeals for caution and co-operation from all road users by obeying all traffic regulations and ensuring free flow of traffic during the construction period,” he said.
While lamenting on the inconveniences the closure of the road would have on residents, the commissioner directed ‘all relevant agencies to ensure free flow of traffic’ within the axis.
