Reports coming out of Algeria reveal that the government of the country has temporarily blocked Facebook and Twitter as well as 3G services after examination questions leaked online.
According to reports, examinations intended to qualify candidates for higher education somehow got leaked online, as such more than 555,000 Algerian students will have to retake their exams.
Prior to taking the decision to temporarily suspend social media, the Algerian government had previously arrested some individuals working at the national education offices over investigations into how the 2016 high school exam papers got leaked on social media.
