Embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki has been accused of withdrawing N10 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria and shared same to chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the purpose of the party’s presidential convention.
A detective at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Junaid Sa’ad, who was testifying in the trial of the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh said the $2m which the PDP spokesman gave to Nneka Ararume is strongly linked to the $47m which was shared among party members by Dasuki.
The said N10 billion, which was allegedly converted into dollars, which amounted to $47million was given to the ADC to former President Goodluck Jonathan and his Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs to share to PDP members for the presidential convention.
Sa’ad further testified to the effect that Metuh diverted N50 million out of the N400 million given to him by former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, for “security services” to purchase landed property at Banana Island in Lagos.
