Few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari announced the sack of Directors General of key government parastatals, some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have started intensive lobbying to nominate allies to fill the positions, reports Tribune.
The leaders are already preparing the list of would-be heads, which would then be forwarded to President Buhari.
The leaders are currently liaising with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on the way forward, as many of the agencies are under his direct supervision.
The leaders are also trying to reach out to the President and other strategic aides.
The lobbying is so intense among party leaders, who lost out in previous appointments made by President Buhari.
