Ondo Election: INEC Insists November 26 Poll Will Still Hold, Stop Spreading Rumours

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that it would not move the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State.

This position is taken by the discretionary body in spite of the way that it hosts infused itself into the intra-get-together emergency shaking the Peoples Democratic Party by disregarding lawful counsel and substituting the name of the PDP applicant in the last rundown for the Ondo guber poll.

There were rumours in Abuja on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 that one of the factions in the party was planning to mount pressure on the electoral body to shift the election and allow the ongoing judicial interventions concluded before the election could be conducted.
