The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has asked the Free National Appointive Commission (INEC) to guarantee that the general population’s will won in the November 26 Ondo governorship decision.
Talking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Monday, the National Chairman of APGA, Dr Victor Oye, said APGA was ready to beat the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the race.
Oye said that the gathering would exploit the interior quarrels in both the PDP and APC to win the survey.
He said that APGA was the best alternative for the general population of Ondo as its candidate, Mr Adeyemi Alao, towered high above different candidates in the race.
The executive said his gathering was certain of springing astonishments at the survey yet approached INEC to discharge an outcome that would be intelligent of the desires of the general population dissimilar to in Edo where the outcome was welcomed with challenges.
“APGA is the best option for the people; our candidate is the best among all, an accomplished public servant and administrator who understands the aspirations of his people.
“The electorate is still confused as to who the candidates are for the other parties in the election.
“They are still in crisis internally which is not the best for the good people of Ondo but they know the man, Yemi Alao, very well.
“Our worry is that INEC should do the right thing. We want a situation where the people’s votes count, they must guard against the type of result released in Edo which remains unacceptable to us today.
“APGA is calling for fairness in the entire process of Ondo governorship election,” he said.
