The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has commended the judiciary for ruling in its favour on the disputed Taraba State governorship election.
The Supreme Court on Thursday retained Darius Ishaku as the governor.
“Without such landmark judgments from the Supreme Court perhaps there would have been no Nigeria and we salute them for their courage in delivering justice to the people,” said Uche Secondus, Acting PDP Chairman.
“We therefore warn APC and the federal Government to stop insulting judiciary as there is nowhere in the world that a ruling party go about hauling abuses on the judiciary.”
He said the ruling was a reflection of the will of the people of Taraba State and went on to show the strength of the party in the state.
The party congratulated Ishaku for his victory.
It also congratulated the people of Taraba State for their resilience.
APC had challenged the poll outcome citing irregularities.
