President Muhammadu Buhari has official launched “Change begins with me” campaign, a campaign geared towards causing an attitudinal change in Nigerians.
The launch powered by the Ministry of Information and Culture held at the Presidential Banquet hall, Aso Villa.
Dignitaries at the launch include the minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Director-General National Orientation Agency, Garba Abari, top officials of the Nigerian military and other government functionaries.
The theme song for the campaign was performed by ace musician, Dare Art-Alade.
Speaking during the launch Buhari said, “We must embrace attitudinal change both in our public and private life. Let us shun reckless behaviour.
“Our city must realise that the change they want to see begins with them. Everyone of us must change our old ways of doing things.
“If you cannot see the change in you, you cannot see the change in others,” he said.
He commended the Ministry of Information and Culture and the National Orientation Agency for conceiving the idea.
There are insinuations that the launch is a modified package of the defunct War Against Indiscipline, WAI, an anti-social vices programme of the military government led by Buhari as Head of State between 1983 and 1985.
