There are strong indications that the rift between Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki and APC leader Bola Tinubu has been settled, a News24 report says.
Both men had fallen apart last year after Saraki emerged as Senate President, against Tinubu’s wish. Since then they’ve spoken negatively about each other in public and avoided each other as well.
However, reports said they met shortly on Monday after President Muhammadu Buhari hosted federal lawmakers to a luncheon at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting was believed to have been facilitated by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the party’s National Chairman, John Oyegun.
Saraki and Tiinubu during the meeting reportedly agreed to sheathe their swords and work for the progress of the APC.
