Comrade Amitolu Shittu, a human right activist has described what is happening in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as a direct opposite to what Buhari stood for some years ago.
Shittu made the statement on Monday while speaking with some journalists in Lagos.
He said,“The Buhari I am seeing now is not the Buhari that came to Ondo State during the burial of late Gani Fawehinmi’s mother, the Buhari I am seeing now is different from the Buhari that came to deliver a lecture at Arewa House some years ago.”
Shittu stressed that the present Buhari has been hijacked by corrupt politicians and business men who want to control the activities of the government.
“If he was the Buhari I knew about 10 years ago, some former governors and National Assembly members that have plundered the resources of their states would not have a place in the government.
“The Buhari I knew would not shake hand with some members of National Assembly involved in budget padding.”
Shittu described the decision of the federal government to drop corruption case against Senate President as laughable an indication that the anti-corruption war of the government is one sided as alleged by some group.
He urged President Buhari to take cursory look at the activities of his government and make the necessary change before it is too late.
