Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), was named the “Man of the Year” by The Sun newspaper on the 21st of February, 2016.
During the official ceremony held at the Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos on Saturday, February 20, Tinubu commended Nigerians for providing the bulwark for the unprecedented political change.
He stressed that the collective efforts of Nigerians were responsible for the electoral victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was a gathering of eminent Nigerians with the governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, Orji Uzor Kalu, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige and several others were present at the august event.
Osinbajo while addressing the audience jokingly called Bola Tinubu, ”Jagaban” which also means troublemaker. The audience cheered his revelation and Tinubu also joined with jokes about other ‘troublemakers’ at the event describing three short people.
