Lagos is not just Nigeria’s commercial capital, it is also the capital of some of the most tragic building collapses in the country.

1. Synagogue building collapse

This happened in September 2014. About 116 people died in the incident with over 100 others injured.

2. Lekki building collapse

Happened in March 2016. Atleast 34 persons were killed during the incident.

3. Titanic Building collapse in Ebute Meta

Happened in 2006. 20 people were reportedly killed in this incident.

4. Three storey-building collapse in Ebute Meta

The building, located at Oloto Street, Ebute Meta, collapsed in the early hours of the morning, trapping over 10 people.

5. Bank of Industry building collapse

Happened in March, 2006. Two people were killed and 23 others injured.
