A young Nigerian who was sent to the wheelchair by armed robbers have turned into a an entrepreneur.

Babatunde Lawal, is a young Nigerian who became a victim of circumstances. The young chap was a victim of armed robbery attack and lost the use of his legs after he was shot by the robbers.

In the process, Lawal became partially paralysed and has been confined to a wheelchair but he has not allowed his situation to weigh him down or to become a burden to others.

Instead of going to the street to beg for stipend, he decided to pick up the pieces of his life, learn a trade in shoe making and today, he is a budding entrepreneur with his own shoe line, making beautifully designed palm slippers and sandals.

In the spirit of the Federal Government which has been urging Nigerians to patronise made in Nigeria goods, Lawal is urging his countrymen to patronise his made in Nigeria shoes.

A UK based Nigerian journalist, Rose P. Graham, brought Lawal’s inspiring story to Facebook:

“I share with you the story of Babatunde Lawal. He was shot by robbers and is partially paralysed, he presently uses a wheel chair.

The fascinating thing about Tunde is that, he did not just sit down begging for alms, he makes palm slippers in Lagos.
