Police Arrest Two Kidnap Suspects, Nine Others In Ogun


Two kidnap suspects with bases in Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu have been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti -Robbery Squad (SARS) attached to the Ogun State Police Command.

Commissioner of Police Abdul-Majid Ali, who paraded Nejo Femi and Gbenga Taiwo, at the state headquarters, Abeokuta, said the duo and nine others have been giving residents and the police sleepless nights.

Ali said they were involved in the recent abduction of a-35-year-old woman on Ejinrin Road in Ijebu-Ode and had collected N7.5 million from her family.

The nine other suspects are alleged to be involved in pipeline vandalism, robbery and piracy.

The commissioner said one of the vandals was a guard in a private security company assigned to monitor pipelines at Igbepa in Sagamu Local Government Area.
