The Abia State Police Command rescued three children after busting a child trafficking syndicate in Umuahia, Punch reported.
The suspects were arrested after the police were alarmed by one of their victims.
The victim was initially lured by one of the men who had promised to marry her. She was taken to a beauty salon together with her two children and was left to do her hair.
Whilst she was busy with that one of the men arranged with a gang to take away the two children.
She contacted the police as soon as she realised that her children were missing.
Members of the gang were arrested and it was revealed that they were operating as part of a trafficking syndicate in the state.
