Commotion has taken over an Edo community as warring members of the All Progressive Congress and Peoples Democratic Party clash.
Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have been alleged to have taken over the streets of Okugbe, Okpella, Estako East Local Government area of Edo State where they are now clashing with supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Vanguard reports that the situation has caused serious tension in the village.
According to a source, the security at the divisional police post in Okpella have been overwhelmed by the youths who may have probably gone out of control, destroying vehicles and other property belonging to supporters of APC.
The source also said the youth came out in their numbers to forcefully break out some suspected PDP thugs arrested by the police from the cell.
According to the source, the crisis may not be unconnected to the postponement of Edo State gubernatorial election earlier fixed for tomorrow, Saturday, September 10, 2016.
