The Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Ikorodu, throughout her 24th Convocation event finished an overall of 8,519 pupils.
The event saw Omoshalewa Adenike Babalola, becoming the very best college graduation pupil with a CGPA of 4.0. Omoshalewa, that associated her success to team reading as well as effort, talked in behalf of various other grads as well as hailed the polytechnic personnel for their advice. She explained her accomplishment as astounding, stating: “I never ever had it so very easy.”
The Rector, Dr. Samuel Sogunro who led the procession of graduands, said Omoshalewa is the first student to graduate with the maximum CGPA and the school would offer her a job after her National Youth Service.
The Governor of the state who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Oluranti Adebule, In his speech, urged them to engage their entrepreneurial and innovative skills. His words: “There is no gainsaying the fact that we are in a challenging time, especially the current unemployment rate. It is time to bring out your innovative and entrepreneurial skills. You must look and explore other options to engage yourselves.”
As parts of the event, Oba Ogunwusi, Oba Shotobi and Aladekomo were conferred with fellowship awards in recognition of their support.
