Suicide Bombers Attack Borno State IDP Camp, Seven Killed

Two female suicide bombers on Wednesday attacked an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Banki Town in Bama Local Government Area, Borno State.

The suicide bombers reportedly detonated their strapped explosives at about 7:00am local time on Wednesday.

At least seven persons were reportedly been killed in the attack.

Boko Haram has inthe last three days staged attack, the first being an attack on military base on Monday and also an ambush on the General Officer Commanding 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu on Tuesday.

Defence Headquarters had issued an alert, saying Boko Haram have become desperate to recruit members into their ranks and files to replace many of its members killed in recent military onslaught.

DHQ further said Boko Haram now resorts to giving money to youths in the guise of loan to later blackmail them into joining it or risk being killed.

It warned youths to be weary of there sources of loans and ensure it is “conventional”.
