A four month old boy is dead and his older brother has sustained serious injuries after they were attacked by a dog in Colchester.
The four month old died from his injuries whilst his 22 month old brother sustained injuries that left him hospitalised, first at the Colchester General Hospital, and later transferred to a specialist unit.
According to the BBC, the children’s mother also sustained her injuries in the attack, although hers was minor in comparison to that of her sons.
The dog, the property of a neighbour in a new area they had moved into, has been put down, although police are unwilling to release the breed of the canine that carried out the attack.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack, which occurred Thursday.
