Antonio Conte Demands Overhaul Of Chelsea Squad

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly told owner Roman Abramovich that his current squad needs a mega overhaul if they want to compete for the Premier League title.

Despite an impressive start to the season, it’s now all gone tits-up following back-to-back league defeats to rivals Liverpool then Arsenal.

And it appears to get worse, especially if you are one of these players below.

As the fiery Italian was appointed, the The Times claim that he only managed to sign the one player on his summer transfer list while the others where recruited by those pesky sporting directors.

“Conte was only able to sign one player – N’Golo Kanté – from his own list of transfer targets, with Michy Batshuayi identified by sporting director Michael Emenalo, and David Luiz and Marcos Alonso recruited late in the transfer window as emergency signings.

The Russian billionaire is believed to be sympathetic to his concerns after a third successive meeting at the clubs training ground.

“The Italian is understood to have told Abramovich of his fear that several Chelsea players will never reproduce the form they showed for Mourinho the season before last and recommended they be phased out.”

Meanwhile the revealing report also names not one but FIVE players Conte wants to bin.

“Nemanja Matic, Oscar, Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill are believed to be the most vulnerable, while Cesc Fàbregas will also be made available for the right price.”
