Following Chelsea losing their 100% league record, Antonio Conte and The Blues supporters have been compounded with more misery.
After drawing 2-2 against Swansea, it appears John Terry is a serious injury doubt ahead of their crunch match against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The 35-year-old skipper will undergo scan on Monday to assess the severity of the ankle injury after picking up the knock in the dying stages of the game, seen leaving South Wales on crutches.
Conte and fans alike will face an anxious wait to determine his availability for the Friday night game.
The Italian gaffer commented on the situation post-match; “I don’t know the extent of Terry’s injury. Tomorrow we will see the situation with his ankle. He is a warrior! And I’m not worried.”
Well, he seems confident but Terry did appear to be some pain, but they may now hand a second debut to David Luiz after the summer recruit was left on the bench as well as Marcos Alonso.
If bad news does come back, it’ll be a huge blow considering their testing run of games which also includes Arsenal then Leicester City.
