Barcelona signs Spain international Paco Alcacer from Valencia. Munir El Haddadi heads to Valencia for to replace the Spaniard. Alcacer becomes the sixth player signed from Valencia in six years Valencia striker Paco Alcacer has passed his medicals and has joined La Liga Champions Barcelona while Munir El Haddadi is heading in the opposite direction. Alcacer is reported to have signed for Barcelona in a deal worth 30million euros before going on international duty with the Spanish national team for their Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier.
The deal for the Spanish forward has not been made public because Barcelona have not finalized Munir’s departure to Valencia. The Baulgrana have prioritized signing a striker who will be a stand-in player for the front three, should any injuries occur and they have approached players like Kevin Gameiro who opted for Atletico Madrid instead.
However, the 23-year-old who has youth on his side and would not mind starting games from the bench is relishing the challenge at the Nou Camp. In last season’s campaign, Alcacer scored 15 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for Valencia and 72 goals in total after making his senior career debut for the club in 2010. Alcacer joins the likes of Andre Gomes, Jeremy Mathieu, Jordi Alba and David Villa who moved from the Los Che to Barcelona in the last six seasons.
