Georges-Kevin N’Koudou will undergo a medical at Tottenham on Tuesday ahead of a £10.8m transfer from Marseille, according to Sky sources.
The France U21 forward is expected at Hotspur Way later for the exam and to finalise terms on a four-year contract.
N’Koudou has been of interest to Spurs for some time, having caught their attention while they were scouting Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi, who joined Chelsea last month.
Sky sources reported on Monday the clubs were in talks over the deal but Marseille wanted to earmark a replacement and had asked Spurs about their Cameroon international forward Clinton N’Jie.
It is understood the two clubs are still in talks about a possible permanent switch for the 22-year-old, who is considering whether he wants the move or to fight for a first-team place at White Hart Lane.
Spurs had high hopes for N’Jie, despite him missing most of his first season with injury, after joining for £12m from Lyon last summer.
But, with Tottenham close to completing the deal for N’Koudou and having just signed striker Vincent Janssen, N’Jie has been warned he would face an uphill struggle for regular first-team football.
