The Nigerian made his long-awaited return from injury to play for the Turin-based club in their comprehensive victory over the Pink-blacks
Joel Obi returned to action as Torino recorded a 4-1 away win over Palermo in the Serie A on Monday evening.
The 25-year-old got injured in the Maroons’ 3-1 win over Roma last month, but only got back in training last week.
The midfielder replaced goalscorer Daniel Baselli in the 66th minute to feature in Siniša Mihajlović’s side comprehensive victory at the Renzo Barbera.
Baselli and Marco Benassi added to an Adem Ljalic brace to help the Maroons to an awe-inspiring comeback after Ivaylo Chochev had given Roberto De Zerbi’s side a 1-0 lead.
Obi has now played six times for fourth-placed Torino this season. They face Lazio in their next league outing on Sunday afternoon.
