It still hasn’t properly sunk in, but Leicester City are in the Champions League this season and the Foxes watched with anticipation as the competition’s group stages were drawn out in Monte Carlo earlier today.
Claudio Ranieri’s men were in the top pot of seeds after winning the Premier League, so were always going to be handed a smooth-ish trio of teams to face, but by anyone’s standards the end result was a piece of cake.
Leicester supporters looking on, possibly hoping for an Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund were sadly left disappointed, as Porto, Club Brugge and Copenhagen were pulled out the hat.

They’ve never been in the Champions League before, and they might never be back – surely at least one of football’s superpowers in there to set up a famous night at the King Power Stadium would’ve been nice?
