Sabole was to wed his fiancée this week and was on his way to Kaduna when he got involved in a car crash which instantly took his life.
The former Niger Tornadoes and Gombe United player was a key player for Plateau United, helping them to promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
He had been given permission to stay out of the team to face Kano Pillars in Plateau United’s goalless home draw on Sunday, May 22.
The midfielder was on his way to Kaduna to meet his parents concerning plans for his upcoming wedding.
Plateau United’s acting general manager Pius Hemwan has expressed shock and disbelief about the death of the player.
“He would be missed by Plateau United players and officials and we pray that Allah grant him eternal rest,” Hemwan told Goal.
