Super Eagles have now moved up three places in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.
Nigeria climbed from 66th to 63rd in the world, and moved from January’s 14th spot in Africa to 12th.
Africa was rated poorly, as Ivory Coast who top the continent log are placed 28th in the world from 19th the previous month.
Cape Verde came second and are trailed by Algeria, Ghana and Senegal to complete Africa’s top five teams.
On the global stage, the top ten places remained unchanged, as Belgium continued their dominance. They are trailed by Argentina, Spain, Germany and Chile who make up the top five.
Brazil retained their 6th spot, with Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria completing the top ten in the world.
