WATCH: Granit Xhaka’s First Arsenal Goal Was Worth The Wait

Granit Xhaka’s move to Arsenal early in the summer was hailed as a masterstroke by Arsene Wenger. It’s taken the Swiss star a little time to show his best but his first goal for the Premier League side was definitely worth the wait since he signed.

Xhaka arrived at the Emirates with a big reputation and a high transfer fee of around £30 million from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach before the Euros started. The former Basel midfielder had a decent Euros too with his country before the season started.

The 23 year old has started two of Arsenal’s league games so far this season but was a late substitute as the Gunners picked up a decent away point against PSG in the Champions League and once again had to settle for a place on the bench against Hull today but he made up for it with a top goal

Arsene Wenger’s side ran out pretty easy winners away against Hull. The North London side took a 1-0 lead in the first half through Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean also missed a penalty after Jake Livermore was sent off. Sanchez and Walcott made it 3-0 before Robert Snodgrass pulled one back from the spot.

Xhaka’s brilliant strike sent the Arsenal fans home happy and with some memory of his first strike for the club, it won’t be the last!
