Zinedine Zidane Is Excited By Promising French Striker

Celtic Moussa Dembele celebrates after the final whistle of the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match at Celtic Park, Glasgow.

Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has been given a glowing endorsement by none other than Real Madrid manager and all-round football legend Zinedine Zidane.

The Hoops forward, 20, scored a hat-trick against Rangers at Celtic Park last weekend, before missing a penalty in the Nou Camp against Barcelona three days later.

Having moved to Glasgow from Fulham in the summer, Zidane admits he’s been impressed by Dembele’s performances – and even revealed he is “excited” by the youngster’s progress.

Speaking via the Sun, the former World Player of the Year said: “I do like to watch the young French players and Dembele is a player I am excited about. Now he has to prove himself in Europe – he needs to show what he’s capable of.”

Zidane’s star-studded Madrid side take on Espanyol on Sunday evening – just a few hours after Dembele and Celtic take on Inverness in the Scottish Premiership.
