A leading American computer maker has indicated its readiness to increase its investment portfolio in Rivers State.
Intels Group, the company, expressed its interest through its President, Gabrella Volpi, at the weekend.
Volpi expressed happiness that the company had enjoyed a favourable working environment in the state.
He said Intels Group would cooperate with the Rivers State Government to advance state’s economy.
Governor Nyesom Wike said the state was working out a partnership framework with INTELS Group to generate employment opportunities for the people.
He commended INTELS Group for its massive investments in Rivers State which have impacted positively on the economy of the state.
Wike declared that his administration will always support investors to create employment opportunities for indigenes of the state.
The governor said in view of the dwindling economy of the nation, it was in the interest of the state to build partnerships with investors to develop the state’s internally generated revenue to fund other areas of development.
“We will always support investors to help in the development of the state,” said Wike.
He said their investments would help in creating employment opportunities for indigenes of the state.
He said it was in their interest that investors were not discouraged to come to the state.
“That is why we are always creating the right platforms for them to invest,” Wike said.
